The Perfect Pocket Monster Legends: Z-A Super Form Based on the Zodiac Sign
This return of Mega Evolutions in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has ignited widespread excitement within the community. Starting with the gradual reveal of fresh additions before the title's launch, to trainers developing strong views on the entire lineup of new Megas, there's a lot for enthusiasts to look forward to.
Given many of the Mega Evolutions showcasing unique appearances that emphasize their traits, one thought came to mind: What's the best way to link this with zodiac signs? This list is based on a mix of vibes, common zodiac traits, and individual observations.
The Ram – Mega Camerupt
Honestly, Houndour's evolution was almost chosen for this fire sign, as they are the Super Form and astrological sign that inspire the greatest apprehension. But, a Mega Houndoom comes across as constantly furious, which isn't typical of the Aries vibe, known for being fun, light-hearted, and spontaneous. That's why Aries much more similar to Super Camerupt, which only erupts when provoked. Stay on the friendly side of either and benefit from a powerful ally; should you offend them, be ready to get burned.
The Bull – Super Heracross
Much like a loyal Taurus, the reliable Heracross, both in its standard and Mega form, has aided many trainers in Legends: Z-A. Though trustworthy, both the Pokémon and a Bull are also Fighting types, and – be it their trainer or a strong opinion – will defend their position unwaveringly. What about Super Heracross that recalls most of my Taurus friends, however, is its unabashed love of snacks. Many previous official descriptions mention their fondness for sweet tree sap and how it employs its horn to hoard it everything, which is true Taurus energy.
The Twins – Super Medicham
Look at this absolute queen. It's impossible to convince me this Pokémon is not the soul of any gathering, providing an constant fountain of chatter to those who wants to hear. Just like an enrapturing, gregarious Gemini, it's incredibly simple to envision Mega Medicham mesmerizing an whole open area with their stories. Medicham’s official description also mentions its ability to foresee an enemy’s next moves, which seems very similar to a people-smart Twins.
The Crab – Super Manectric
Cancer is commonly considered as the most sensitive member of the zodiac, a passionate symbol famous for often becoming absorbed in their emotions. According to the Pokédex, Mega Evolution charges the Pokémon with a “tremendous amount of electricity, but it's too much for Manectric to completely manage,” which seems a lot like a typical Cancer emotional outburst. This Pokémon is also recognized for its capability to make a thundercloud over its own head – and if there’s a single trait a Crab is going to do, it’s spoil their own parade.
Leo – Mega Starmie
Oh, did you assume I was planning to select the lion Pokémon for the king of the zodiac? Aside from the reality that it would be much too obvious, The Lion is obviously Mega Starmie, the star whose legs just became an internet sensation for being extremely fabulous (or terrifying, depending on your preference). Fans couldn’t look away from the violet sea star, and that’s precisely the same vibe a Lion offers to the scene. This Pokémon is also said to be transmitting signals from its red core out into the cosmos, and it’s just like a Lion to be staging a show, albeit for aliens.
Virgo – Mega Victreebel
The ever-prepared and constantly-worried Virgo is ideally encapsulated in Super Victreebel, the Mega with constant digestive issues. The zodiac symbol famous for being endearingly judgmental is strongly mirrored throughout this creature's whole lineage, from a always surprised face like a Virgo when you tell them you lack a 401(k), to its inverted visage that’s just like the symbol a Virgo sends to the group chat when all says they want to “be spontaneous” instead of making a strategy.
The Scales – Mega Audino
Look at this sweet, sensitive creature, who employs the feelers on its auditory organs to detect how others are feeling by their heartbeat. Always empathetic – sometimes to a detriment – and trying to keep the harmony, there are many Scales who would likely benefit from Super Audino's skills. Though, let’s be honest, it would probably just cause them to stress more about everyone else.
The Scorpion – Mega Banette
Banette is a Pokémon with a unexpectedly tragic origin: Abandoned as a toy, it gained sentient through pure hatred and vowed revenge on its previous caretaker. Per the Pokédex, Super Evolution, “enhances its spitefulness.” That seems exactly like many conversations I’ve had with my intense Scorpio acquaintances. A Scorpio loves cosmic justice and comeuppance, making them the ideal match with Super Banette.
Sagittarius – Mega Hawlucha
Both Super Hawlucha and Archers are always putting on a performance. As a Archer personally, the number of occasions I’ve referred to myself some version of a “playful little entertainer” is innumerable. The most flamboyant and most attention-seeking Mega Evolution, its description even notes how it “poses to display its strength.” I would do the exact same thing if I had a Super Form, making Super Hawlucha the most apt Sagittarius match I can think of.
The Goat – Super Absol
Did you know that a Super Absol has the ability to foresee disasters in advance? That exudes the exact same vibe as a Goat, who tends to consistently think they’re correct. The thing is, much like a prophetic Mega Absol, they often are. It’s also the absolute initial Mega Evolution that players encounter in Legends: Z-A – just like a Capricorn to join the beginning of the Super Form craze.
The Water Bearer – Super Chandelure
Aloof element Water Bearer is possibly the non-fire sign that is closest to a flame symbol – its counterpart is Leo, and there are countless memes about the Archer and Aquarius being unpredictable partners in crime. Super Chandelure's dual Spirit/Flame category fits seamlessly with this, and the Mega’s overall intimidating aura is also extremely Water Bearer. If you hadn't yet convinced, the Mega’s Pokédex entry says it “absorbs negative energy and transforms it into power.” If that doesn’t perfectly {encaps
