During a dominant performance, England wrapped up a further victory against Albania, featuring a number of squad members producing memorable displays during the match.

Starting XI

The goalkeeper Was rarely tested to make during the opening 45 but then tested from an opponent's curling effort. One well-timed sliding tackle on an Albanian attacker demonstrated sharp anticipation. 6/10

Jarell Quansah Tested against Albania’s main danger in their forward. Operated more centrally to begin with later drifted to the flank once a teammate was introduced. 7/10

The defender Advanced forward on the ball, a familiar role previously. On occasion was too casual when carrying play and the tactic discontinued at half-time. 6/10

The tall defender A constant threat on corners and free-kicks, typically, but may be a replacement to Stones at the back as opposed to alongside him. One wayward ball later in the match nearly resulted in a goal from Albania. 6/10

The young full-back Another confident performance by the 20-year-old following his first cap against Serbia. A teammate was unable to take the most of a gorgeous flick behind the Albania defence. The left-back spot looks secure so soon. Seven

The newcomer His first start with the national team. A bit loose on the ball however his dangerous deliveries caused problems. A useful tempo-setter available to the coach to call upon versus sides that sit back. Booked for a rash foul. Six

The midfielder Set-pieces from corners and set-plays created chances. Was given freedom to move down the left flank only to be in an offside position as the pass came in shooting positions. Granted a deserved rest around the 60-minute point. Six

Jude Bellingham Played in a forward role on the right and put in dirty work. Displayed flashes of quality but mishit a shot wide. Withdrawn towards the end by Rogers, his rival, after being booked. 7

Jarrod Bowen Was presented with England’s best chance in the opening period, his effort smartly stopped from the Albanian keeper. With a teammate holding position, he was forced to offer an outlet on the right although his balls from wide areas were inconsistent. Substituted late in the match. Six

Harry Kane The decisive figure scoring 77th and 78th strikes at international level. His first a classic opportunist's goal and his next a classy header after peeling away from his marker. Now 32, he continues to improve and England stand a real opportunity next summer when he's in the team. 8

The attacker Found it tough to influence play from the left. Had a good opening when set up by the midfielder but the keeper kept it out. Rashford produced a bigger effect in his place. 5
