WHere is an easy take on a cocktail featured on our latest drinks list. Designed as a batch premix that is loaded with the essence of a holiday season, rendering it ideal for hosting a holiday party. Save the extra cordial you can use for morning drinks, sweets, or to make additional servings of bikinis.
Bikini
Makes enough for 10 servings
To make the Citrus Syrup (produces 750ml)
300ml recently pressed clementine juice
200ml recently pressed lemon juice
500g fine sugar
For the Cocktail (produces 850ml, enough for 10)
400ml premium vodka
100ml London dry gin
150ml peach schnapps
200ml clementine cordial (see above)
Whole cranberries, to garnish
Mandarin essential oil, as a final touch
Instructions
Making the Cordial: Place all the items inside a pan, heat until it reaches a gentle boil, stirring until the sugar dissolves. After that, take off the stove and leave to cool down completely. Decant into a sealable bottle, cap it and refrigerate it in the refrigerator, it will last for up to four weeks.
Preparing the Cocktail Base: Mix the specified liquids in a big jug, leave to sit for an hour, then pass it through preferably using muslin, so it's fully clarified.
When ready to serve: Measure 85ml of the cocktail base to a stirring glass containing ice, and agitate lightly for a minute until cold. Strain into an chilled martini glass or similar, top with some cranberries adding the final touch by giving it a brief mist of the essential oil above the glass.
